It would depend… what grade degree?
Alright, freshman 12 months of university… I would like to see investigation that lastly and in the long run puts the idea that the moon landing was somehow faked by the U.S. federal government to Rest for when and all (while, regrettably, I know there will generally be dullards out there who will never ever be convinced) I signify really… 1 QUARTER of U.S. citizens believe that the moon landings may possibly under no circumstances have took place and I find that to be just one challenging pill to swallow…. we tracked telemetry that PROVES that a little something travelled that significantly, we left mirrors on the surface area that are still in use currently so that the length to the moon can be calculated with serious accuracy using laser beams from Earth, and but some simple folks however insist that the entire issue is a hoax. Like we could retain a magic formula like that for all these many years, yeah suitable! To say nothing of the moon rocks (further evidence) I do not know what kind of evidence would basically persuade the naysayers, but I set it to you to do the career for us… what an excellent paper it would make!!
What do you imagine? Reply beneath!

Issue by : How do Jews and Christians see Greek Astronomy?
What was the standpoint of the Jews and Christians on historical Greek’s Astronomy theories, this sort of as the Ptolemaic System?
Very best response:
Answer by Paul
I are not able to converse for the Jews but for Christians the Ptolemaic method was passionately defended for really a whilst just after Copernicus. Nevertheless with the function of Brahe, Kepler,Galileo and Newton practically no christians that I’m mindful of believe in the geocentric solar procedure. Even on R&S segment the debates tend to be dependent on the age of the earth, no point out is made of the position of the earth in the solar system. Many thanks to Einstein the christians I know go through conditions like sunrise and sunset in a relativistic perception, in that the sun appears to rise and set relative to an observer situated on earth.

The case for Pluto’s re-instatement.
That oughta get you a Nobel Prize.

- Pluto and the other dwarf stars
- The evolution of the Sun
- Why Jupiter is not a star
- Why are terrestrial planets and the gas giants so different.

I’d agree with eggman – the level is a key consideration. An excellent topic for a primary school topic may be a bit simplistic at secondary school and positively laughable as a doctorate thesis. Without knowing that it is difficult to offer real suggestions.
Update: for college level you want to take some “messy” or unexplained phenomenon and present the current theories and supporting evidence. In essence good subject matter will be similar to a doctorate thesis but of course you will not be expected to advance the state of the art.
What you pick also depends on the length of the project and amount of work expected. For example the Pioneer effect may be a good candidate for a shorter project but you may run out of things to say for a larger one. Something like dark flow may be a good option for such a project. Explain the reasons for imagining it into existence when really we have no idea what it is.

How about the Eta Carinae phenomena.

Here is one you could consider: We know that the moon and Sun and to some extend the nearer planets influence tidal flow, but I don’t recall hearing anyone suggesting that the atmosphere too, must be influenced by the same gravitational pull, and consequently affect the movement of wind and weather, and remembering that the atmosphere is “elastic” compared to the water in the oceans, and such elasticity will allow an increase in pressure in some areas and in so doing affect wind direction and strength. So perhaps you can make a model showing how the moon and Sun and nearer planets draw the mass of the atmosphere like a tide flowing without borders other than mountain ranges etc to slow its progress, and in combination with the sun`s heat ( which expand the atmosphere ) the relative gravities all affect the weather we have.
I hope that is not “too simple” a project.

On the Starship Enterprise, under Captain Kirk.

The bible in several verses stated in round about ways that the earth was the center of everything. Early astronomy was in direct contradiction to that, therefor it was banned.

The first Christians were Jewish. The Greeks became Christians later. The Old Testament was a Revelation of our Creator.
The description of the Heavens which Astronomers observe today was on a” need to know basis.”
Most of the modern population know very little concerning the mechanics of Gravity or how the Universe construction actually took place.
What Astronomy observes to day with the aid of modern technology reveals that the Universe is made of of little Universes called galaxies. Astronomers observations is interpreted by the New science of Cosmology. The great Break thu in Astronomy is for the first time, the Images from the PLanck Telescope indicated that the Universe is a finite Entity having a definite dimension at its gravity boundary, proving Einstein right.
No one Human knows things in Science exactly; every concepts and mathematical formulation of these concepts are only approximations.
Astronomers dated as far back from the Babylonians and Sages of India were studying the night sky. The 12 constellations were named after the name of the tribes of Israel. The constellations themselves were prophetic in telling the story of the destiny of Humankind that our Creator has set.
Claudius Ptolemy’s Book “The Almagest” became a reference for Astronomers of various cultures. Ptolemy considered the Earth as the fulcrum were all cestial bodies revolved,Copernicus considered the Sun as the fulcrum.;both were right and wrong; We know now that its both the Sun and the Earth that revolve around a common fulcrum, and this fulcrum moves to accomodate all the other planets.simultaneously.The concept of the earth as the center of relative moltion is used to day for navigation ;Its called the Celestial Sphere.
.Eratosthenes works of and Hipparchus were very revealing concerning the Sizes of the moon and the earth as well as the precession of the poles of the earth. One of the difficulties about observations is that the Greek Savants did not have a clear understanding of what light really is.
It was Democritus who first posited that the Physical Universe is made of of Granular structure that could not be cut . Hence he basically described the structure of the substance of space. However to this day he has never been quite understodde of what he actually meant.
At present the CERN Scientists in the LHC lab are trying to determine that particular Substance that makes up u the bulk of the volume of the Physical Universe.
Basically Time in the Universe at its inception related the gravity field ,the magnetic field and the electroastatic field into one common denomiator. Hence Time is the Unification factor of all the forces in the Physical Universe.
Thus The Greeks had great insights concerning the structure of the Universe.
To day we have thousands of Physicists and Scientists working trying to determine what the Universe is made of;and how time came into being .And most of us Kids in school could not put together the dots that our teachers are trying to explain concerning the world of physics.
It was Dr Stephen Hawking that indicated that Time in the Universe has the shape of a Pear.
It Was Einstein theory of Special relativity that indicated measurement of time and speed were relative as an observer viewed the Event. Hence ,volumes appear to contract and Time appears to diltate by large quantity at astronomicla distance to an observer on Earth than it is in reality.
Thus time at the edge of the gravity field of the Universe time appears different than what we measure relative to an observer on the Earth.
