There are not too a lot of work opportunities in astronomy you can get devoid of a PhD (and you’ll surely have to have a person to do exploration in the industry), but because a great astronomy degree would give you a stable qualifications in math, physics, and some laptop science, you are going to be qualified for a bunch of other positions relevant to people fields. With a bachelors or masters in astronomy, you could educate significant college (or local community university with a masters) or operate as a help tech or info analyst for a national lab or NASA. But there aren’t a ton of those people careers all around. You’ll need to have a PhD in astronomy to do exploration in the industry, and if you’re likely to get a PhD in astronomy, a physics important is basically improved than an astronomy major (even though a double-significant in the two is finest). It far better prepares you for a graduate application in astronomy, astrophysics, or physics, all of which can lead to a job in astronomy.
